Abstract :
ZigBee wireless sensor network usually works in a complex environment, and the energy of sensor node is very limited, so energy consumption is a big problem in ZigBee wireless sensor network, especially in the multi-sensor system. Plant eco-physiological monitoring system is a typical multi-sensor system. There are many kinds of sensors in this system. These sensors, as well as ZigBee module and some peripheral components need different power supplying, so the system should provide various power supplying. But it is very difficult in the limited energy condition, especially in a low power required system. This paper investigates power reduction in plant eco-physiological monitoring system, and low power strategy on both the hardware designing and software controlling is presented. The test results about the performance of the plant eco-physiological monitoring system are given, which demonstrates that the system is reliable. This designing will provide a good reference for the multi-sensor network based on ZigBee technology for the low power designing.
