Abstract
The paper presents a new model enabling consideration of high harmonic effects on PWM induction motor drive efficiency. Harmonic iron losses in the motor due to switching frequency are considered by convenient modifications of the equivalent circuit parameters. The method is illustrated with respect to a 20 kW experimental set-up
