Abstract :
In this paper, a developed magnetic circuit method (MCM) is proposed to calculate the d-and q-axis inductances of a permanent magnet embedded salient pole wind generator (PMESPWG). For distributed windings are adopt in the generator, the variations of magnetic circuits with the relative positions between stator and rotor are taken into consideration. In order to reduce the calculation, the stator and rotor magnetic circuit models are built up respectively, and connected by the stator and rotor nodes. The FEM calculation results are supplied to verify the developed MCM, based on which the inductances with different structure parameters and under magnetic circuit saturation states are calculated efficiently and discussed deeply. Finally, the measured dand qaxis inductances of a 3 MW PMESPWG prototype are provided to verify the developed method.
