Abstract :
Inspired by behaviors of real ants of nature, we develop a novel optimization method in this letter, called CAS (chaotic ant swarm), which is a chaotic version to describe our adaptation of the chaotic behavior of individual ant and the intelligent organization actions of ant colony to the solution of optimization problems. Our novel method includes both effects of chaotic dynamics and swarm-based search. It is a deterministic process different from the conventional ant algorithm. The nonlinear dynamics of the proposed method have been analyzed.
