  • Abstract
    The paper proposes and exemplifies how to use the fuzzy logic in the critical analysis of the faults including abnormal workings, for the most important elements in power systems. Fuzzy event tree method is used in performing the electric power protection system independent analysis. For critical analysis of the protected electric power element-protection system we built a complex software tool named "fuzzy event tree analysis". We exemplified the critical analysis for the electric power protection system of radial and curled electrical line.
