Abstract :
This paper presents the implementation of voltage balancing and circulating current suppressing control of a 7-level Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) using different PWM methods. Simulation results obtained by Matlab demonstrated a successful control and the positive impacts of voltage balancing and CCSC applied on both PD-PWM and PS-PWM.
