Abstract :
FID GmbH has developed new types of FID and DRD switches permitting switching of gigawatt peak power with energy in pulse up to several tens of kilojoules. These devices have become a basis of compact and efficient pulse power supplies for accelerators and power lasers. Pulse power supply includes a primary power supply operating from 3 phase mains with power of up to 100 kW, triggering and control block providing synchronous operation of up to ten power modules with accuracy better than 1 ns and the main pulse power output module.
