Abstract :
A new model that can simulate the main stochastic features of partial discharge activity at AC and DC voltages was proposed. In our simulations the narrow peaks of current were observed at the moment of every microdischarge in voids in solid dielectric after AC voltage was applied. The behavior of single cavity in dielectric liquid under DC voltage was also simulated.
