Abstract

The virtual organization concept is often discussed in the context of supply chain management or manufacturing. This work extends the idea to the management of R&D and innovation activities. A prototype platform which integrates several communication and cooperation tools is described. This platform, called SICOV, is based on a multi-workspace architecture and is accessible via Internet. Some results of an ongoing case study are also discussed.
