Abstract :
It was studied that the performance of the internal electrolysis-Fenton process in pre-treating of the high-strength refractory acid dye wastewater. The sequencing comparative experiments were carried out and it was determined that the internal electrolysis-Fenton process was superior to the traditional one in terms of treatment effect. Optimal conditions were attained by experimental conditions changing. The results show that under optimal conditions pH=2, the volume ratio of Fe/GAC is 1 and the reaction time is 30 min. The dosage of H2O2 is 40/00 by continuously dosing, its pH is 3 and the reaction time 30 min. the COD removal rate could be more than 75% and the BOD5/COD ratio could be increased from 0.08 to 0.46. This process showed highly efficient in organic removal and biodegradability improving in pre-treating high-strength dye wastewater.
