Abstract :
In this paper, a stress-based crossover (SX) is modified to solve stress constrained structural topology optimization problems using combination of SX, mutation and constraints handling strategy (cSX). Firstly, experiments are carried out to show the influence of constraints handling coefficient Ps. After that, comparisons of cSX and SX are performed to show the effectiveness of cSX. The resulting topology designs of two examples show that cSX is powerful for stress-constrained problems on the consideration of reducing computation time.
