  • Abstract
    A neural network based method of Doppler velocity contour computation using the acoustic form of the echocardiographic Doppler velocity tracing has been developed. The steps involved in extracting the contour are described in detail. The method was applied to the human transmitral diastolic Doppler velocity profile. The neural network generated velocity contour is shown to have excellent agreement with the echocardiography machine generated Doppler velocity tracing
