Abstract :
An integrated noninvasive blood pressure simulator for evaluating both oscillometric and auscultatory noninvasive blood pressure monitors has been designed. This integrated simulator features simple but novel approaches to simulating oscillometric pulses and Korotkoff vibrations with potentially high controllability. It provides for emulation of a wide range of microphone placement configurations, use of the electrocardiogram, and simulation of cuff-arm compliance for different cuff sizes
