Abstract :
On-line monitoring coal-fired calorific value of utility boiler is the foundation of performance monitoring and optimization of power plant unit. Based on the thermal balance of utility boiler unit, a novel soft computing algorithm was proposed to on-line monitoring coal-fired calorific value. To propose such algorithm, the more accurate thermodynamic system state parameters were taken as input variables and the data were directly collected from DCS. In this algorithm, boiler effective use of heat was firstly calculated, through the prediction-correction iterative algorithm of the positive balance and anti-balance efficiency model. Secondly, boiler real-time coal-fired calorific value was obtained. The results show that the proposed soft computing algorithm has faster response speed, trend consistency, smaller calculation error and the ability to accurately reflect thermal balance of current operating condition. The proposed algorithm provides a new method for on-line calculation.
