  • Abstract
    The paper discusses a new control topology and its implementation in an IC. The control topology is named current synchronous zero voltage switching (CS-ZVS). The topology enables the design of zero voltage switching resonant power conversion circuits which eliminate many of the problems associated with the design and manufacture of such circuits. The theory of operation and the design equations for a flat panel display backlight inverter circuit and a DC/DC power converter design are discussed
