Abstract :
Water level in boiler drum is nonlinear, large time-varying, strong-coupling and multivariable. On the basis of establishing mathematical model of the regulation of boiler drum water level, fuzzy control theory is used for designing the control system for water level in the boiler drum, fuzzy control and PID control are respectively used for controlling water level in the drum. At the same time, design and simulation analysis of the controller are described. MATLAB software is used for verification and simulation of the water level control system. The comparison of the results between fuzzy control method and conventional method shows that fuzzy control improves the static and dynamic characteristics of the drum level control system obviously compared to PID control. Thus, the best real-time control of water level for the boiler drum is achieved.
