Adaptability research of road transport and national economy based on compatibility theory

From the basic concept and the social implication of adaptability, this paper proposes evaluation index system of adaptability, applied theory of order degree and adaptive theory in synergetic and builds an adaptability evaluation model of road transport and national economy. The author uses this model to research the adaptability of road transport and national adaptation actually with the statistical data of 2001–2009 of Jilin Province. The results show that: During this period, adaptive coordination between the two can be divided into three stages: First, both were not suited to the stage of 2001–2005. The road transport development lagged behind national economic development and hindered economic development. Second, during 2006–2007 the two developed into basic adaptation phase, and the road transport and national economic development have entered a virtuous circle. At last, during 2008–2009 the two entered the adaptation phase.
