Abstract :
Energy resolution of LRG ionization spectrometers is up to now very important and not fully understandable parameter. It is no doubt that at least part of contributions into overall energy resolution determines the free-ion yield nonlinearity. Two opportunities of free-ion yield definition are discussed - Jaffe approach and Birks´ law. Experimental results known up to now are analyzed to receive parameters that can be used for energy resolution calculations.
