Abstract
Contemporary journalism increasingly relies on the Internet as a medium and a bank of information from where journalists draw news for their materials. Obviously, the information from this source has supportive background functions or it is used when the journalist has no physical possibility to attend the event personally, because of its distance in space or time. But the Internet is an enormous database and retrieving specific journalistic information requires specific approaches. The paper aims to outline the particular features which the ideal journalist-oriented multi-agent system should possess.
