Abstract
Mobile telecommunication equipment is evaluated by the specific absorption rate (SAR) measurement. New odour-free, stable tissue-equivalent liquids for SAR tests have been developed. The major ingredients are nonion type surfactant, Tween, deionised water and salt. Permittivity matrix charts of tissue equivalent liquids for mobile phones and walkie-talkies are provided. The stability against the temperature change of the new liquids is improved, so that the permittivity should be within the required allowance of the values in standard documents easily. The new tissue-equivalent liquids do not affect the phantom shell made of fibre reinforced resin, and do not smell. The Tween type tissue-equivalent liquids must be useful for SAR tests.
