Abstract :
This paper examines the use of third-order statistical measures as an induction machine condition monitoring tool. It is demonstrated that these third-order measures improve on traditional fault detection techniques and unambiguously detect single and combined fault conditions in an induction machine fed from fixed and variable frequency supplies
