  • Abstract
Messenger apps today utilize various elements to enhance user´s experience on social media. Using image sharing features, the user is able to express his or her ideas in a more concise manner. When combined with writing functionalities, it can further enhance the ideas presented. While there are multiple applications available in the market that offer such functionalities, these applications might be lacking in certain aspects of simulating a realistic writing feel. Notable issues commonly found in these applications are having an unnatural thinning effect and having numerous visible jagged edges. Natural handwriting is to be incorporated by applying curve smoothing, stroke thinning and developing a responsive interface. Using curve algorithms, strokes can be rendered in a manner similar to real-life handwriting.
