  • Abstract
    A series of tests were conducted to investigate furfural residue ignition in a bench-scale fluidized bed. Main factors including bed temperature, flow rate of air and the feeding amount of materials were studied to find out the effects on the ignition properties of furfural residue in the experiments. The results show the index of ignition increases with the bed temperature rising, and promoting flow rate of air also help ignition index increasing. The maximum of fuel feeding was determined in promoting the ignition index in this research. The results of the investigation provide a guide for furfural residue fired boiler design, start up and operation.
