Abstract
A hydrofoil of ship sank to seabed for accident. Since the area was as deep as the depth of 180 m, the recovery by divers was difficult. Therefore, holding device with net chain used This device has used to remove wave-dissipating blocks until now. For the other use, it is utilized for the first time. Recovery work of the hydrofoil was carried out in the southwestern area in the Sea of Japan on July 22, 2007. The recovered hydrofoil was 4 t in weight, and 6.3 m in length. From this result, it was proved that the device was effective also in recovery of the falling object in deep sea.
