Abstract :
In Optical Packet Switching (OPS), contention may arise when two or more packets need to be directed to the same output port leading to packet loss and thus lower switching performance. Accordingly, in this paper, the contention has been resolved by a proposed architecture uses a Wavelength Optical Crossbars (WOCs) while reducing the complexity and the cost.
