Abstract :
The author analyzes the performances of a coherent multitone communication system over a specular multipath fading radio channel with unlimited bandwidth. It is shown that each carrier suffers from a multipath interference term and a cross-carrier term as well. The average bit error probability is derived for a channel with 2 paths having Rician distributed gains, and uniformly distributed delay and phase angle. The performance of the multitone system is compared with the one obtained by means of a one-tone QPSK system for the same bit rate and a same bandwidth
