Abstract :
In the long-term harbor improvement policy "port to the 21st century" upon which it was decided in 1985N having improved the watertline where priority was given to the transportation function and the industrial function by the high economic growth of 60 to the 70s as synthetic port space which aimed improvement in amenity was determined. About opening to citizens of a breakwater and a seawall which is facing the open sea especially. Japanese government developed itself starting with the water amenity-oriented breakwater in Wakayama Marina City, and also has tackled the same kind of development of the breakwater and seawall in this SUNPORT Takamatsu. It was decided upon "greenization of port administration" which is a fundamental policy of a future port environment policy in 2005. Because of Landscape Law enacted in 2004, and in order to aim at the surveillance of environmental preservation by a civic eye such as closing ocean space, positive opening of the waterline to the further citizen is called for . In this paper, SUN PORT Takamatsu project which was completed in 2001 and conducted "ex-post valuation of public works" in 2007 was taken up J would like to discuss about the design of the ocean space structure which has a water amenity-oriented function, proving the development effect of the water amenity-oriented structures in there.
