Abstract :
With the rapid development of transportation facilities and the increase in the number of vehicles, pavement runoff pollution is more serious and brought more and more attention. Especially when the highway passes through the first-grade surface sources protection zones and secondary reserve for domestic and drinking water, pavement runoff needs to be treated and pollutant control index achieve environmental quality standards for surface water (GB 3838-2002) before being discharged. This paper introduced the source and composition of pollutants, pollutant levels and its influential factors, pollutant accumulation and migration model, the rule of pollutant migration, relations among the main pollutants in the road runoff and the effects that pavement runoff on the receiving water. It is very necessary and urgent to study pavement runoff pollution and propose practical control measures.
