Abstract :
Traceable power measurements have traditionally been provided at line frequencies (50 or 60 Hz). With the increased use of power electronics and the resulting use of higher frequencies in applications such as switched mode power supplies, instruments capable of power measurements to hundreds of kilohertz are now becoming available. In order to provide traceable calibrations for this new generation of wattmeters, NPL and Metron Designs Ltd. have developed the audio frequency wattmeter described in this paper
