  • Abstract
This paper discusses the satellite channel assignment method, which can attain high channel utilization for three kinds of information with different bandwidths, while efficiently controlling the call loss probability. As conventional methods, the orderly assignment and the separate assignment for each kind of call are considered. For this study, an assignment method is proposed, which is based on the orderly method and a new channel search algorithm so that call loss probability can be controlled. The proposed method is compared to conventional methods by simulation and experiment and is shown to be useful
