Abstract :
This paper focuses on architectural modeling and simulation of chip multithreaded processors. Chip multithreading combines chip multiprocessing and hardware multithreading to build a processor chip with multiple multithreaded cores. Besides theoretical analysis and modeling approach discussion, an instruction level simulation model is implemented as a set of extensions to the Simics machine simulator toolkit, and amount of simulations are conducted.
