Abstract
A practical method of multitarget data association based on the probabilistic data association (PDA), joint PDA (JPDA) and SPDA algorithms is presented. The method can take account of the effects of all returns in validation region on the association probability, which are not considered well in the SPDA. In addition, the complexity and computational load are much less than that of the JPDA. Monte Carlo simulations show the effectiveness of the new method in tracking crossing targets
