  • Abstract
In this paper we propose a new approach of fast wavelet-based convolution to do the analysis of lossy transmission line. By using multiresolution decomposition, one of the most important features of the wavelet transform, and sparse storage scheme, we can largely save much time and memory in the simulation. Trade off between the computational efficiency and the dynamic accuracy can be achieved by filtering out the signal elements that are smaller than a preset error tolerance. In addition to the application on the transmission line simulation, fast wavelet-based convolution algorithm will be interested in many other fields also
