Abstract :
Linearly polarized light emission from an organic light emitting diode (OLED) is demonstrated by using a nanograting structure. The aluminum based grating structure with a period of 261 nm and the line width of 126 nm is fabricated by interference method and formed on the top of glass substrate of OLED. The polarization characteristics are studied in details both experimentally and theoretically. The polarization ratio can reach as high as 87%.
