Abstract :
This paper describes the development process of a golf cart drive system using the highly efficient interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM). The proposed drive systempsilas properties were tested based on simulations and experiments. Vector control using the resolver is the default control mechanism of the developed IPMSM drive system, and field weakening control allows a maximum rotation speed of 4500[rpm], which is 2.5 times faster than the rated speed. The system efficiency under the rated load is about 92.3[%].
