Abstract :
This paper shows a proposal of the oil skimming system in emergency. The system is transported by truck to the port near the coast where we have to recover oil. Because the Japanese coastline is very long, the system should be deployed quickly and efficiently. The crane barge prepares to recover oil at the quay and loads the system on its deck from the truck carrier. The system should be easy to operate for stuff of general marine constructors. So we developed mainly two equipments for the system package. One is an oil skimmer that can be operated by crane. Another is a buoy system for stretching an oil boom automatically. In January of 2007, we made a field simulation of the system at SAKAI Port, and appreciated it. The system is operated easily by the stuff of a general constructor.
