Abstract :
A grid is widely adopted to offer real solutions for industry and e-science which must be interoperable and standardized. The major issue in grid is that a grid potentially has a much large number of resources none of which are under the complete control of the grid scheduler. A reliable scheduling scheme can greatly improve the efficiency of the schedule while not violating the constraints of the applications and the system resources. In this paper, we give a survey on various scheduling algorithms which focuses on reliability and other metrics.
