Abstract
The Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) is one of the operational modes of the Block Ciphers which takes n-blocks of plain text and performs encryption on all the blocks simultaneuosly whereas, the Merkle-Hellman algorithm designed in the year 1978 is based on the superincreasing subset problem. This paper demonstrates how to use the combination of both the cryptographic algorithms in order to encrypt messages so that only the intended recipient of the message is able to decipher the message. This paper focuses on enhancing the confidentiality of the message transfer.
