Abstract
The paper presents an electricity generating system for remote, stand alone applications, which utilises a draught animal as the primary energy source. The features of a prototype generating system, comprising of a mechanical speed multiplier and a permanent magnet generator, are described. Preliminary results indicate that a minimum continuous power output of 200 W can be obtained
