  • Abstract
    A coupled atmosphere-wave-ocean model is used to evaluate the effect of sea surface roughness on ocean surface wave, observational studies about the sea surface roughness are parameterized in the coupled model, a typical typhoon case Vongfong (No. 0214) is chosen to examine the effect of sea surface roughness on typhoon wave modeling. The results indicate that the distribution of significant wave height is obviously affected by the sea surface roughness.
