Abstract :
A low cost aperture coupled patch antenna for use in 900 MHz GSM cellular communications is presented. The design is limited to a non-stacked configuration, and the aperture is split in order to prevent slot resonance. A powerful yet simple graphical stub matching technique is presented to improve the bandwidth of the radiating element by a factor of 1.5
