Abstract :
A simple mathematical relation between the method of lines (MoL), a semianalytical finite-difference procedure, and a moment method based solution of an integral equation in the spectral domain is presented. Implicit basis and weighting functions as well as nodes and path of the integration procedure are identified and discussed
