Abstract :
The proposed project Scanmedic is to reduce the involvement of duplicate, expired and adulterated medicines to improve the quality of the medicine and enhance to the originality for the customer. The term “medic” means medicine and the term “scan” means scan the medicine. This proposed project, technologies involved is Steganography and barcode. By implying this Invisible barcode was generated. A dedicated cloud is implied for the database to be maintained. This would ensure the accuracy and to some extent the security of the database will improved and monitor by authorized government authority or signatory. The invisible barcode will be registered on the medicine strip by Government Authority. The range of this mechanism can evoke a new revolution among the pharmaceuticals industries in the reducing the adulterated, expired and fake medicines. This can also improve the status of the medical drugs to higher standards. This is to invoke a safer measure in order to pertain to the needs of the society and also to safeguard the people from unknown duplicate, expired and irrelevant medical resources.
