Abstract :
A novel antenna suitable for mobile telephone application is presented. This is a backfire-fed, dielectric-loaded twisted loop antenna, that is designed to minimise the fields that are incident on the user´s head. Broadband response is also demonstrated for use in mobile handsets where greater bandwidth is essential
