  • Abstract
Simulation of the green supply chain is inundated with complexities due to reverse flows, reverse logistics, product recovery, reuse, recycling, remanufacturing, and other green initiatives. The focus of this research is to develop a conceptual framework which forms a platform for building simulation models from a discrete-event simulation perspective. First, typical green supply chain players are identified and their interaction analyzed. Second, performance indicators specific to the green supply chain are identified. Third, conceptual models for each of the identified supply chain players are developed, from a discrete-event simulation perspective. The framework suggested provides a useful basis or platform for developing simulation models for the green supply chain.
