Abstract :
A nonlinear adaptive control law is derived on the basis of global linearization. With the aid of this method, stabilization of nonlinear systems can be realized. By adopting the nonlinear adaptive observer, robustness of the nonlinear controller against the model parameter uncertainties is increased. The control law is easily implemented in a computer system and is practicable. The new control concept is used to control a form grinding process and provides better performance than a PI controller
