Abstract :
We developed the autonomous controller FCN (field control node) that plays a central role in STARDOM system. STARDOM system achieves NCS architecture (network-based control system) that improves production efficiency. The FCN is a modular type controller, excellent in expandability, reliability, and maintainability. By implementing the only required parts redundant, the greater flexibility to reliable system is provided to each customer. Since the modules for redundant configuration are same as single configuration, the spare modules become common. This paper describes the redundant method, maintainability, and the expandability of FCN
