Abstract :
The cordless mobile terminal (CTM) phase 1 service is an intelligent network (IN) based service currently under standardisation in the ETSI, aimed at providing fixed network support for wide-area terminal mobility management. The EURESCOM Project P507 “Mobility Applications Integration in Intelligent Networks” has been studying the enhancements required to this service to extend it across network boundaries. This paper reports on the work done in EURESCOM P507 on CTM internetworking, detailing the methodology used, and the requirements identified to extend the CTM authentication feature to users roaming outside the home network
