Abstract :
In order to eliminate the influence on the immersion and realism for virtual reality simulation system environment, which is resulted from the color difference of the multi-projector display system, an optimization color correction algorithm based on projector-camera system is proposed. It considers the non-linear influence of both camera and projector. Unlike previous work, where the affection of camera was neglected, an optimized high Dynamic Range image reconstruction method based on Pedro´s image segment and a new weighting function are put forward to establish the mapping relationship between input and output of camera´s pixel value. With the mapping relationship of the camera, the integration of transform model between YUV and RGB color space and function approximation correction method is presented so that the luminance and chrominance of the projector are both corrected, and then the color lookup table is obtained. And the GPU rendering of color correction is realized by shading language. Based on a three-channel multi-projector display system, the algorithm is proved to be effective for the color correction of multi-projector screen.
