Abstract :
The security and stability of the HVDC system is ensured by the well influence of the controller. Active-disturbance-rejection controller (ADRC) has the adaptability for time-varying and uncertain disturbance. But it is complex and difficult to tune the parameter of the ADRC. An improved genetic algorithm is used to tune of the parameter of the ADRC in this dissertation. Both the controller´s dynamic performance and control constraints are taken into account in the tuning of the ADRC. And the ADRC is used in the inverter control of the HVDC system to improve the robustness of the HVDC system. The results of the simulation of the HVDC suggest that the controllers have a good adaptability to the external disturbance and the model changes.
